Supporting the ancient idea of Olympic Games our bicycle wheels will again connect the two Olympic capitals: London and Rio de Janeiro. The ride will last 171 days from February 17 till August 5, the day of opening the Olympic Games.

After the send-off ceremony in London we will fly across the Atlantic to the South Caribbean islands – Trinidad and Tobago. We will spend a week cycling in this fascinating twin-island country, then hire a boat to the remote Venezuelan region – the vast Delta del Orinoco. From here the route will go to La Gran Sabana, an ancient country of tepuis (table-top mountains), known also as Venezuela's paradise for cyclists. After having a chance to visit the highest world waterfall, Angel Falls, and climb the mysterious Mount Roraima, we will shortly enter Brazil on our way to the wilderness of Guianas  (the Land of Many Waters) rainforests. Cycling across Guyana, Suriname, and French Guiana we will reach the Amazon Delta. To cross the Amazon River it will take 2 days by boat.

The rest more than 3 months to Rio de Janeiro we will stay in Brazil, passing 12 states. The major part of this part of the route we will cycle close to the Atlantic Coast with a travel-friendly climate lasting all the year. We will visit the biggest cities of the Northeast Region rich by unique cultural heritage, Afro-Brazilian traditions. After Salvador da Bahia, the former capital of colonial Brazil, we will turn inland, to cerrados of Minas Gerais visiting the Chapada Diamantina National Park and continue cycling south towards the group of historic colonial towns (the most famous Ouro Preto among them) reminding the gold age of Brazil. We arrive to Rio de Janeiro following the ancient gold road – Estrada Real.

Note. We are working now on details of the route trying to include most interesting sights. The draft route you will find in Program section which is to be updated regularly. Here you will find the list of UNESCO Heritage.

Join us for a month, a week, a day or for a whole route! See you on the road!
